Please read each description carefully.  Volunteer hours can be done at home, in school or after school.  Please note field trips and parish activities do not count as volunteer hours for the school. “Family volunteers” mean that the person completing the hours does not necessarily have to be a parent or guardian.  Other adult family members may help as well,  but they MUST BE STAND TRAINED.  EVERY VOLUNTEER MUST BE STAND TRAINED.

Playground Duty

 

Volunteers are needed to supervise student during recess.  On rainy days playground volunteers may go into the classroom to allow the teachers to take a break.  A yearlong commitment is requested.

Cafeteria

 

Volunteers are needed to clean tables in between lunch periods, push in chairs, hand out milk orders, empty trash cans and put in new liners, and supervise students in the cafeteria.  This is for an 1 ˝ hour  per day. Schedule days may be flexible.

Hot Lunch

 

Volunteers are needed to help set up the cafeteria for lunch, serve lunch to the children, clean tables, empty trash cans and put in new liners. Can work any of the lunch sessions or just one of them.  Total hours with set-up through clean-up is 2 ˝ per lunch.  Hot lunch is on Tuesdays and year long commitment is requested.

Library Aides

 

Volunteers are needed to replace library cards in returned books, return books, stamp books and cards for books that are being checked out and fill/send out overdue book slips.  Year long commitment is requested.  Shifts are about ˝ hour a day.  Please be specific about days available.

Teacher Aides

 

Volunteers needed to help teachers.  The work varies according to the teachers request.  The work may include correcting papers, cutting out art materials and filling papers.  The time commitment varies, but it is requested year long.

Homeroom Parent

 

Volunteers are needed to work with the HOMEROOM teacher and organize parties and field trips.  HOMEROOM parents will coordinate volunteers for Spring Gala booth that is assigned to each HOMEROOM.

Book Fair

Volunteers are needed to come to school to set up and break down the book fair.  We need volunteers to work during the times students come to shop and to help the children with their purchases.  The Book Fair will be in November.

Children's BINGO

 

Volunteers are needed to work in the kitchen preparing and selling food.  Volunteers are needed to work the floor selling bingo cards/specials and 50/50 raffle tickets, checking for bingo and cleaning the tables.  The cafeteria needs to be cleaned up at the end of the event.  A bingo caller is also needed.

Innisbrook Giftwrap/Gift Sale

Volunteers are needed to organize and distribute the sales envelopes, decorate the school, review the order forms, help with the prize drawings and HOME ROOM pizza parties.  Volunteers are needed on the day of delivery to school to help distribute the orders to the children.

Little Kid's BINGO

Spring Gala

 

Volunteers are needed to help set up and break down booths for this event.  Help is requested on Friday evening for inventory check and all day Saturday.  Volunteers are needed to help prepare and sell food.  We will also need bake goods donated for the Cake Wheel.  The hours earned during the Spring Gala can either help with the current school year or go towards the next school year.

Adult Auction

This event is a bi-annual event.  We will have an Auction in the 2004-2005 school year.  Volunteers are needed to ask for and collect donations.  Help is needed with setting up the hall and working the event.  Several volunteers are needed to make this a huge success.

Hospitality Committee  

The Home School Association sponsors several events during the school year which refreshments are needed.  The events are breakfast on the opening day of school, Open House during Catholic Schools Week, refreshments during the general HSA meeting, and the free hot lunch during CSW. Volunteers are needed help set up and clean up for these events.

Box Tops/ Labels Volunteers are needed to send reminders to families to send in there box tops and labels.  This is something easily done from home.

Food Certificates

 

Volunteers are needed to sell Giant and Metro gift cards after all masses on the weekend.  This will run all year long.  Hours over the summer can be applied to the upcoming school year.
