St. Agnes Catholic School, established in 1865, is a faith-centered community rooted in the traditions and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and focused on academic excellence. We strive to educate and empower individuals who will have the faith, knowledge, and competence to be the leaders of tomorrow. Our Mission Statement is inspired from Matthew 28: 19-20:

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

St. Agnes School is a vibrant and diverse community centered on Jesus Christ in the Catholic tradition. Our program unites the heart, soul, and mind through a formation of faith, a strong academic foundation and a commitment to serving the needs of our human society. Our graduates are sent forth prepared to take their place as leaders in the church and our world. 

Our students find acceptance, encouragement and motivation to reach their full potential. The Administration and Staff partner with our families to create a warm, loving, learning environment in which all children are challenged to use their abilities and talents.

Statistics

  • St. Agnes is a co-educational Catholic Elementary and Middle School for students 3 years old to grade 8.

  • The rigorous curriculum enables our students to achieve success on standardized tests.

  • The average class size is 17.

  • Graduating students go on to a wide variety of excellent high schools in the area including Mount de Sales Academy, Mount St. Joseph High School, Loyola Blakefield, The Catholic High School, Calvert Hall College, Baltimore School for the Arts, Institute of Notre Dame, Notre Dame Preparatory, Baltimore Polytechnic, and Western Vocational Technical.

Participation

Positive School Environment

To foster a positive school environment where all students are educated in a safe and caring atmosphere, all Archdiocesan schools including St. Agnes Catholic School will follow established procedures for prevention and intervention for bullying, harassment or intimidation.

Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS) has been implemented in every Archdiocesan elementary and high school to enhance academic and social behavior outcomes for all students.

St. Agnes Catholic School has met the requirements established by the Cognia Accreditation Commission and Board of Trustees, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.

In accordance with standards set by the Archdiocese of Baltimore, St. Agnes Catholic School met the requirements established by the Cognia Accreditation Commission and Board of Trustees, and was thereby accredited by the NCA Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the SACS Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
